The research forecast board

Arxibvet is for the academic community: researchers and students following arXiv. Browsing and participation do not require an account.

  1. No money, prizes or financial stakes.
  2. Questions must concern arXiv papers or measurable activity around them.
  3. Predict verifiable objects and events, rather than opinions.
  4. State the source, scope, voting deadline, expected decision date and missing-evidence rule.
  5. Proposals appear publicly only after moderation. Moderators may edit unpublished proposals to fit the community.
  6. Published resolution rules are fixed. Resolved outcomes include dated evidence.
  7. Longer and more open research horizons need longer settlement windows.
  8. Tags and automated flags help organize review; they do not establish scientific quality.

Counts represent recorded browser activity. Historical activity is imported only from supplied records; visitor estimates do not verify a person’s identity.

Ask a question worth following.

Your proposal stays unpublished until a moderator approves its wording and resolution rules. The moderator may edit it before publication.

Your privacy

An anonymous browser cookie remembers your votes. Clearing cookies can create another identity, so visitor and voter totals are estimates of browsers. We store votes, dated activity and private proposals. Optional email notifications require confirmation; you can unsubscribe using your private link.

Save your ticket privately. Sharing a result shares the public question and your chosen answer, never your ticket or email.

How questions settle

Each published question has fixed rules, a closing time and a named evidence source. Moderators publish the result and evidence. Missing evidence can lead to a void outcome. Votes express community opinions, not a scientific verdict or calibrated probability.

Paper dates and charts describe the stored corpus. A limited sample cannot establish complete coverage of today’s papers. Arxibvet is independent of arXiv and conference organizers.
